This notice explains how Uniqode handles personal data when you visit uniqode.nl or contact us about our services. Uniqode’s business address is Keizersgracht 452, 1016 GD Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce number: 71111220. For privacy questions, email [email protected] or call +31 6 1886 4333.

Personal data processed on behalf of a client is covered separately by the applicable project and data-processing arrangements.

Information and purposes

When you contact us, we may receive your name, organisation, email address, telephone number and the information in your messages. We use these details to answer your enquiry and discuss or deliver requested services. The legal ground is taking steps towards, or performing, an agreement where you are the contracting party. For contact with representatives of organisations, our legitimate interest is managing business enquiries and relationships.

Project and administrative records may include contact, agreement and billing information. We use this information to deliver agreed services, maintain our administration and meet legal obligations. Depending on the processing, the grounds are contract performance, legal obligation or our legitimate interest in managing business relationships and legal claims.

Technical information such as IP address, browser, requested pages and request time may be processed to deliver the website, diagnose faults and prevent abuse. Our legitimate interest is maintaining a secure and functioning website. IP addresses and online identifiers can be personal data.

You choose whether to provide information when contacting us. Without relevant contact or project details, we may be unable to answer your request or provide the requested service.

Cookies and optional analytics

Necessary cookies support website functions and remember your choice. The consent preference is configured to last 100 days; your browser may remove it sooner.

Google Analytics is optional and loads after you accept analytics. It measures website use, including page views, sessions, browser and device details and cookie identifiers. The legal ground is consent. You can reject analytics and continue using the website.

Open Cookie settings at the bottom of the page to change your choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Google Analytics cookies, including names beginning with _ga, are configured with a lifetime of up to 100 days. Google Signals and advertising-personalisation features are disabled in our website configuration. Meta Pixel and Google AdSense are currently disabled on the website.

The website also loads Cloudflare’s performance beacon. Cloudflare describes this measurement as collecting page-performance information without analytics cookies or tracking visitors across websites. This is separate from the optional Google Analytics choice. See Cloudflare’s explanation.

You can remove or block cookies through your browser. Removing necessary cookies may reset preferences or affect functions such as signing in.

Recipients and international processing

Depending on the purpose, relevant information may be handled by hosting, email and IT providers, Google for consented analytics, and Cloudflare for website delivery, security or performance services. Professional advisers and public authorities may receive information where necessary for advice, legal claims or legal obligations.

Some providers operate internationally, so processing may occur outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers require a valid basis under the GDPR. Google describes its use of adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses in its data-transfer information. Cloudflare describes its arrangements in its privacy policy. Contact us for information about the recipients and safeguards applicable to your data.

Retention

Retention depends on the purpose. Enquiry information is needed while we answer the request and complete the associated follow-up. If an enquiry becomes a project, relevant correspondence forms part of the project record. Project and administrative records may need to be retained for contractual, tax or other legal obligations, or to establish or defend legal claims.

For technical records, the relevant criteria are the time needed to investigate faults, maintain security and resolve incidents. Cookie lifetimes are distinct from retention of information in analytics reports. Contact us for the retention arrangements applicable to particular information.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or transfer of your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in the GDPR.

Send requests to [email protected]. We may need sufficient information to verify your identity. The usual legal response period is one month; the GDPR permits an extension in certain cases. You can also complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

We may update this notice when our website or processing changes. The publication date will identify the current version. Where a change requires renewed consent, we will request it through the relevant controls.
